Chula Vista Fire Engines to receive much needed 4th Firefighter!

After years of struggle and fight, Chula Vista Firefighters IAFF Local 2180 and the community win at City Hall. Chula Vista Firefighters will staff its first full time 4 person staffed Engine Company effective July 2017.
Chula Vista Firefighters IAFF Local 2180 also secures and guarantees the hiring of 12 Firefighters in January of 2018. These Firefighters will be placed onto (4) Engine Companies in the City and serve as the 4th Firefighter. This makes our community safer and allows us to provide the service our Chula Vista residents deserve.
This is a step in the right direction with much more work to do.
Chula Vista Firefighters IAFF Local 2180 will continue to push for additional fire stations and staffing to ensure we increase the protection and care for the citizens of Chula Vista.
